Unregistered Sex Offender Arrested in Springdale

An unregistered sex offender has been arrested in Springdale, after a woman told police her boyfriend allowed her 11-year-old niece to watch pornographic material on his phone.
Police arrested Jason Hicks, 31, and say he's a registered sex offender from Smackover (Union County).
According to officers, Hicks had been living in Springdale for three weeks, but never registered with local police.
Hicks is charged with failure to register as a sex offender and contributing to the deliquency of a minor.
