Baxter Regional Medical Center Gives Website New Look, Features

The Baxter Regional Medical Center (BRMC) has a new and improved website for the hospital, its affiliates, and clinic network (click here).
The continued news release below details what the site now has to offer:
The website features a new design and enhanced functionality, providing a more user-friendly experience for site visitors. The website includes more features to engage and interact with the public including an online poll and integration with Facebook and Twitter social media sites. The website serves as a public communications tool and 24/7 information resource for staff, patients, and the community.
Additional site enhancements include a notification feature that allows subscribers to receive the latest news and announcements from Baxter Regional via SMS text and/or e-mail.
Site visitors will now find important content easily accessible from the home page including news, calendar of event information and special messages from Baxter Regional. Patients may pre-register online as well as access and make payments on their accounts. Visitors can quickly access BRMC facility maps, get information on BRMC's services and programs, and find a physician all from quick links on the website's homepage.
The consolidated site features information from three current websites: the Baxter Regional Medical Center website, the Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation website, and the Active Lifestyle Institute website redesigned to create one, comprehensive website for all service areas of BRMC.
"The new website is a giant leap forward for Baxter Regional. As the premier healthcare services provider in north-central Arkansas and south-central Missouri, this website allows BRMC to be in the forefront of web-based communications. Not only is the design and functionality of the website improved for the end user, the new site allows BRMC staff members to perform all website updates in-house. This means important news, event announcements, and health information can be published by BRMC staff to the site immediately. The new website gives us the ability to interact with the public more effectively using e-mail and text messages as well as through Facebook and Twitter social media," stated Donna McMullen, Director of Marketing - Public Relations for Baxter Regional Medical Center.
The website, developed by local firm Brooks-Jeffrey Marketing, Inc., (BJM) features a Content Management System (CMS) which allows authorized BRMC personnel to update the site in-house, as needed. The website was developed to accommodate future growth and to serve as a more effective communications tool for Baxter Regional.

Having worked with Baxter Regional since 1986, BJM's staff is especially proud of the magnitude of this project and the overall design of this new site. Baxter Regional Medical Center is located at 624 Hospital Drive in Mountain Home, Arkansas and may be reached by phoning (870) 508-1000. Baxter Regional Medical Center serves patients from a two-state, 14-county area throughout north-central Arkansas and south-central Missouri.
Opened in 1963, Baxter General Hospital began with 39 beds and four physicians on staff. Today, the facility has grown to 268 all-private beds with more than 100 physicians on staff. The hospital encompasses 500,000 square feet of space and is the largest employer in Baxter County with over 1,400 staff members and over 600 auxiliary volunteers.
