The Clark County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) says Jamaal Chappel, an inmate who walked out of the jail Sunday night is back behind bars.

The CCSO says Chappel was caught by a homeowner inside their home around 11 o'clock this morning and taken back into custody.

Original story (10:00 a.m.):
A manhunt is underway in the Arkadelphia area for an inmate who escaped from the Clark County Jail.

Jamaal Rashad Chappel, 33, was being held on charges of residential burglary and theft of property.

Chappel is 5'8" tall and weighs about 165 pounds.

The Clark County Sheriff's Office says the escaped inmate was working on the inside of the jail Sunday and walked out a glass door in an area which he was cleaning.
