A man accused of killing another man in north Arkansas last month is due in court this week.

Johnnie Carl Baker, of Salesville, will appear before a judge Thursday, facing second degree murder charges.

Investigators say baker shot 65-year-old Dennis Chapman in the face.

He claims it was accidental. But investigators say knowingly pointing a loaded weapon at someone showed extreme indifference to human life.

Baker is currently in custody on a $100,000 bond.
