The Arkansas Department of Health issued the following news release about the situation:
"Stolen ham products sold out of a truck on Chicot Road in Little Rock may not be safe to eat. The Little Rock Police Department found the truck and towed it to the impound lot and contacted the Arkansas Department of Health Thursday morning. ADH has examined the vehicle, and the remaining product will be destroyed.
ADH recommends that consumers destroy any ham that was bought from the truck since proper handling to ensure the food is safe to eat cannot be verified.
If you have consumed the ham that was purchased from the truck, watch for food borne illness symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or cramps. If you have any of these symptoms notify the Pulaski County Health Department at (501) 280-3100 and see your family doctor."
