A large-scale tiger rescue operation continues in Northwest Arkansas.

The Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge (TCWR) in Eureka Springs (Carroll County) is pitching in to help a privately-owned tiger sanctuary in Mountainburg (Crawford County).

The santuary owner's failing health has prompted her to ask for help for the 30 tigers, two cougars and two leopards that have been in her care. All of the big cats are more than 15 years old.

TCWR has been moving some of the felines to its facility and is working to find homes for the others.

The rescue operation is expected to cost about $200,000 and donations are needed to save the animals.
