Komen Arkansas Race for the Cure Kick-off Party August 25

Registration is underway for this year's Komen Race for the Cure coming up on October 20 in downtown Little Rock and North Little Rock.
To encourage race participants to sign up, Komen Arkansas is having a kick-off party on August 25.
It's being held at The Promenade at Chenal from 10AM to 1PM.
Tents will be set up near the Chenal 9 Theatres for the event. Komen Arkansas will have online Race registration available for $21, a $5 discount, during the Kick-Off Party. Discounted registration is available for all the Race events -- Run, Competitive Run, Family Run/Walk, Three Miles of Men and Sleep for the Cure. Race information will be provided by Race committee members, along with goodies.
There will be a signing event to support the second annual Fired Up For the Cure calendar. Firefighters featured in the calendar will be autographing calendars and posing for pictures from 10:30a.m. - Noon. Calendars will be available for $15. The pink fire truck will be present for photo opportunities, along with face painting and balloons for children.
The Promenade will be distributing $6 voucher coupons to the first 100 registrants good for a FREE ice cream at Maggie Moo's, FREE appetizer at participating Promenade restaurants or a FREE theater snack combo. Individuals registering for the Race will automatically have a chance to WIN great prizes and may donate $1 for each extra chance of winning. Registrants will not have to be present to win.
As part of the party, supporters are encouraged to "Like" The Promenade at Chenal Facebook page (click here). A $1 donation will be given to Komen Arkansas for every new "Like" on The Promenade Facebook page during the Kick-Off Party day.
