Man Dies in Fatal Crash in Faulkner County

A Pine Bluff man is dead after a wreck in Faulkner County.

It happened just after 4:30 this morning on Interstate 40 westbound near the Morgan exit.

30-year-old Jason D. Cole died in the head-on crash.

State Police say his vehicle crossed the median and hit another car.

The cars caught fire.

Witnesses pulled both drivers out of the wreck.

The driver of the over vehicle, 26-year-old Sandi Weinert was hurt.

The extent of her injuries have not been released.
