A woman injured in the Plaza Towers Apartments fire Monday night has died.

The Pulaski County Coroner's Office tells KARK 4 News that 72-year-old Vertis Brown was taken off life support Wednesday around 4:30 p.m.

She was injured when a fire that started in a first floor apartment in the building on Markham Street sent smoke into other apartments and left fire damage in some units.

The Little Rock Fire Department has not yet determined the cause of that blaze.
