Today, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke will be a witness before a Joint Economic Committee this morning.
Bernanke will answer questions about the country's economic outlook.
In April the Fed upgraded its economic forecast for 2012, but since then job growth has slowed.
Congress wants to know the Fed's current outlook and ask if there are plans to take action.
TSA Poor Service Hearing
The Administrator of the Transportation Administration will appear at a House Subcommittee hearing today.
Congress will ask John Pistole about the TSA's efforts to fix its poor customer service reputation and become a leaner, smarter agency.
One committee member recently called the TSA one of the most disliked agencies in the federal government.
Long Distance Debris
A massive piece of debris from Japan has floated all the way to Oregon.
A 66-foot-long, 7-foot high concrete and steel floating dock broke away after last year's earthquake and tsunami.
This week it made landfall on Agate Beach just outside Newport, Oregon.
The Japanese consulate's office has confirmed that it is indeed a Japanese manufactured dock.
The consulate also confirmed that the dock had been in use in an area hit especially hard by giant waves when the tsunami hit.
