National AM Buzz: Etan Patz Murder Suspect Arrest, Memorial Day Gas Prices Drop

New York City Police make an arrest in a 33-year old murder case. It was 33-years ago today that Etan Patz, 6, disappeared.
Thursday, NYPD arrested Pedro Hernandez, 51. The police commissioner says Hernandez confessed to the crime, and will be arraigned for second degree murder today.
Patz vanished while walking to a school bus stop in 1979. He was the first missing child to appear on a milk carton.
Jury Deliberations Continue in Edwards Trial
Jurors in the John Edwards trial resume deliberations today.
They've been debating Edwards' fate now for a week.
Edwards is charged with six criminal counts of campaign finance violations stemming from his presidential campaign in 2008.
Memorial Day Gas Prices Drop
AAA says most travelers this weekend will notice the lowest gas prices in two years.
With crude oil prices hovering around $90 a barrel, some energy analysts predict gas prices will continue to fall for the rest of the summer.
The national average for a gallon of gas is $3.66, down .26 cents from the peak in April.
South Carolina has the lowest average price right now at $3.33 a gallon.
However, gas prices in many west coast states remain above $4.00, mainly due to some refinery issues.
The average price for gas in Arkansas is $3.34
