The fate of the head of the Metropolitan Housing Alliance could be decided in a matter of hours.
The agency, formerly known as the Little Rock Housing Authority, suspended Director Shelly Ehenger and Human Resources Director Kim Travis nearly two weeks ago over a, quote, "personnel issue."
The leadership shakeup comes as the commission attempts to makeover its image, changing its name and opening a new green living facility for senior citizens.
The commission called a special meeting to discuss both suspensions today at 11:30.
Judge To Rule On SAU Horse Theft Charges
A judge in Oklahoma is expected to make a ruling today on weather or not a woman accused of stealing horses from Southern Arkansas University can be charged.
Authorities say Jaci Rae Jackson stole several rodeo horses from the University last year and took them across the border to Oklahoma.
The judge will decide if prosecutors have enough evidence to charge her with animal cruelty, concealing stolen property and knowingly bringing stolen property in the state
The cruelty charge stems from the severe malnutrition and death of one of the horses named Credit Card.
