Pulaski County Sheriff's deputies Saturday collected close to 400 pounds of drugs in Operation Spring Cleaning, but it wasn't a bust.

Today was the 4th annual national Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. Deputies were encouraging people to turn in medications they aren't using, so they can be safely disposed off and not fall into the wrong hands.

"A lot of people overdose on them, small children can get a hold of them, so if we can get them out of the house, that alleviates a safety concern for us," said Lt. Carl Minden with the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies say don't just throw away or flush your drugs. Any day of the week and 24 hours a day, they'll take them at the Sheriff's Office.
