Medical school is a tall order, but Tuesday night a shorter version was available.
They call it Mini Medical School.
Four College of Medicine Doctors at UAMS participated in a panel discussion about advances in their fields.
Some of those advances are coming from UAMS.
The unifying focus was student athletes, and the dangers they face.
"It's as big a problem here as it is anywhere in the country and unfortunately there are individuals that die suddenly
every year across the country and here in arkansas and its not recognized that they have an irregular heart action," says Dr. David Rutlen, Director of the Cardiovascular Division at UAMS.
You may remember, Arkansas Razorback Garrett Ueckman died in November of last year from an enlarged heart.
