A Jacksonville is now facing felony charges for bringing a gun to school.

Jacksonville High teacher Jennifer Paul took a gun to school that ultimately ended up in a student's hands. Pulaski County prosecutor Larry Jegley charged Paul with Possession of Handgun on School Property, a class D felony, in 4th Division Circuit Court.

A three member board of education panel voted to suspend her for the rest of the year and allow Paul back in the classroom on probation next year. But, they made that decision before charges were filed.
