FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Arkansas turned in another outstanding day of practice on Wednesday as the Razorbacks continue preparations for this weekends Homecoming tilt with South Carolina. The Hogs split the 90 minute practice between the fields south of the stadium and the Willard and Pat Walker Pavilion. "We had another good practice today," Arkansas head coach Houston Nutt said. The guys had excellent intensity and great effort. That is two days in a row that they have came to practice with a smile on their face ready to work." Former alumni and Razorback greats are all expected back in town for Homecoming weekend as Steve Spurriers South Carolina Gamecocks visit Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. The game is slated to kickoff at 11:30 a.m. on Jefferson-Pilot. "I know that there are a lot of former players coming back for this game," Nutt said. "There is nothing like Homecoming. "We have been talking about this game for about two weeks. This game is about pride and passion. Things havent got exactly right for these seniors. We are going to have nine or 10 guys walk out there to play at Reynolds Stadium for the last time on Saturday. It is important that we send them out the right way." Nutt was once again pleased with the progress of new starting quarterback Casey Dick. The true freshman continues to make plays and handle the little things as he directs the Hogs offense. "Casey had a really good practice today," Nutt said. "He is getting better with his timing, the snap count and all of those little things you take for granted. He has been really good at taking the snap, and that is one thing that makes you sleep better at night. That is one of those things you worry about with a new quarterback because you dont want any balls on the ground." The Hogs will return to the practice field on Thursday to fine tune the game plan.
