UA Sports Information- Sunday, August 28, 2005 --- FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Razorbacks held a short one-hour practice in shorts and shirts on Sunday afternoon as they got settled into a normal game-week schedule. Tomorrow will be an off day for Arkansas as the Hogs prepare for their home opener on Sept. 3. "We had a good walk-through today and covered different situations," Nutt said. "We went over the film a little bit. Were just getting ready for game day. Were glad its hear and its time to hit on someone else." UA has held more walk-throughs this year than it did in the past and Nutt attributes that as an award for the improved physical condition of the team. "Weve had more, because of how much effort and how hot its been," Nutt said. "Theyve been running since the whistle blows. This is probably the most the defense has ran if you go from one period through 24, in a long, long time. I used to gage to run the defense a little more, because usually they are standing and talking. With Coach Herring there isnt a lot a walking, so you dont have to worry about their conditioning as much." The Missouri State Bears are what the Hogs have turned their attention to and Nutt commented on what hes observed from watching film. "Ive watched Missouri State on film lately and they are a team that plays hard," Nutt said. "Im more concerned about us, but I know they have good players and skilled athletes. You have to be ready every time you put the pads on." Arkansas will open the 2005 season against Missouri State on Sept. 3, at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
