Hog Recruit Commits to Florida

By: Bo Mattingly
Updated: November 10, 2006
Springdale, AR - Springdale High School Tight End Ben Cleveland told KNWA Friday that he has made an oral committment to the University of Florida. After previously saying he would wait until after the season to make a decision, Cleveland says he changed his mind. "They`re only going to sign one tight end so I felt like I needed to commit early, because the offer might not be there later on." Cleveland says he likes the Florida offense because it`s similar to Springdale`s. The tight end, who`s not from Arkansas, said the Razorbacks were never an option and never recruited him very hard. Cleveland is the second Bulldogs player to commit to a school out of state. Offensive lineman Bartley Webb is committing to Notre Dame.
