Update: Arrest Made in Faulkner County Homicide

Officials with the case say the victim, 26-year-old Michelle Asher, was stabbed multiple times in the throat, and bled to death.

Late Saturday evening, deputies say a suspect is in custody.

34-year-old Ronald A. Britton has been charged with first degree murder.

Investigators say he and the victim were a relationship, but its unclear what the relationship was at the time of her death.

Britton will face a judge Monday morning.

As for the victim, Michelle Asher had been missing for about 24 hours when her body was found by a family friend in the backyard of her home at 16-D Fox Run Lane, between Greenbrier and Wooster.

Her family tells us Asher is the mother of three young children, ages nine, six and four.

Her body has been sent to the state crime lab for an autopsy.
