Snoring
Dr. Strong is one of a select group of dentists in the nation who hold Board Credentialed status in the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine,
the leading organization in this area for dentists.

Your physician may prescribe oral appliance therapy for other medical conditions such as sleep apnea. Dr. Strong works in conjunction with sleep disorder clinics to provide nonsurgical treatment for patients with these problems

A dental appliance for treatment of snoring is a simple two piece appliance that repositions the jaw and throat tissue so that airway space is greatly increased. The improved airflow reduces and often eliminates snoring thereby allowing a more restful sleep. The positioner snaps easily over both upper and lower teeth and is highly effective.

If you answer yes to any of the following questions, you may be a candidate for oral appliance therapy:

My snoring affects my relationship with my bed partner.
My snoring is loud.
I have made previous attempts to fix my snoring.
My snoring affects people when I am sleeping away from home
( i.e. hotel, camping, hunting, etc.).
I fall asleep easily while watching television.
I fall asleep easily while sitting or reading.

"Having a sleep apnea condition myself created my interest in this field. After time, study and much practice, I became one of the first dentists nationally to be awarded Diplomate status in the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and now treat patients on referral from sleep physicians." Dr. Strong

Lectures

Dr. Strong lectures extensively in the United States as well as internationally, Dr. Strong brings a unique perspective of incorporating restorative implant treatment into the general practice environment. His approach to treatment planning for the implant patient involves an interdisciplinary effort between the restorative dentist, the hygienist, the laboratory technician and the manufacturer. This type of coalition helps to ensure that the patient is informed and satisfied throughout each phase of this process. Dr. Strong's lectures vary from a one day lecture, primarily focusing on treatment planning for the implant patient, to a more extensive two day lecture featuring hands-on techniques in all phases of restoring the implant patient.

In addition to lectures, Dr. Strong conducts hands on instruction in Little Rock, Arkansas where dentists gain experience in "over the shoulder" experience in implant prosthetic procedures.

"In addition to treating patients,  I am frequently invited as guest lecturer, and do workshops that illustrate how we perform certain procedures.Because we actually do these procedures every day, my colleagues  feel that they are seeing real world solutions to common dental problems." Dr. Strong
