Organic tomatoes contain more nutrients than those that are conventionally grown.

A Brazilian study compared the weights and properties of tomatoes from organic and traditional farms.

Organic tomatoes were about 40-percent smaller, but contained higher concentrations of vitamin C, sugars and lycopene, an anti-oxidant compound.

Researchers speculate the increased stress that organic plants are put under may explain the differences.
