The Arkansas basketball team shocked the nation Tuesday night at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville upsetting #2 Florida, 80-69.

Arkansas (14-8, 5-4) stunned a Gator team that hopes to compete for a national championship. The victory marks Arkansas' first win against a #2 ranked team since Auburn in 1999.

In what was a true team effort, B.J. Young came off the bench to lead with way with 13 points.  Marshawn Powell and Michael Qualls each had 11 points.  The scoring effort marked a career high for Qualls.

The Razorbacks came out strong and managed to head to the half with a 43-26 lead. Arkansas shot 53-percent in the first half compared to Florida's 29-percent.

Arkansas' victory marks its first over Florida in six games. The Razorbacks extended their home game winning streak to 11 games.

Florida made the trip to Fayetteville with an 18-2 overall record and 8-0 in SEC play. Florida hoped to earn its 11th straight victory.

I really thought last time Florida was at Arkansas Billy Donavan ran up the score all he could on Anderson's patched together team left to him by Pelphrey.
