Wendell Griffen, a circuit judge and pastor, says the purpose is to bring people together and help them understand the problem.
He says bullying is an issue for all kids, regardless of race or gender, and that the best way to solve the problem isn't by heavy-handed punishment, but through understanding and education.
"Kids have real, real challenges growing up, but one of the challenges they should never have to face is the challenge of feeling safe and welcomed where we require them to go," Griffen says.
The meeting will be held in Little Rock at Saint Teresa's Catholic Church on Baseline at 3 p.m.
Representatives from the school districts, law enforcement and churches will attend, and the public is invited.
