Central Arkansas emergency crews teamed up with crews in Northwest Arkansas for a statewide disaster drill on Wednesday.

The 61st Civil Support Team out of North Little Rock worked together with Washington County emergency responders to prepare for a bio-hazardous situation with a life-like exercise.

The drill wasn't just for show, however, crews hope their run-through will prepare them for real world events.

Although they hope to never have to use these skills, they stand ready to assist.
