Little Rock School District (LRSD) teachers are being offered an across the board raise and an increase in contributions to their health insurance.

That's according to Cathy Koehler with the Little Rock Education Association, who says the teachers union and the district have come to an agreement on a contract.

Koehler says the union and district settled the financial part of their contract negotiations Monday night.

Other details of the agreement will be revealed after teachers vote on the contract this afternoon, starting at 4:30 at the Arkansas Education Association.

Koehler says 103 of 239 districts contribute only the state minimum for health insurance and that the LRSD contributes the most toward teacher's health insurance.

If teachers approve the contract, the LRSD board will discuss it in a meeting on Thursday.
