LITTLE ROCK, AR - A bill in the House would compel the University of Arkansas the Arkansas State University to play a football game against each other, with proceeds going to charity.

According to Roby Brock, with Talk Business, sponsor Adam Mayberry (R-Hensley) says the game would be held at War Memorial and at least $250,000 would be donated to charity. Mayberry has set up a website (click here) where the public can vote on whether they would like to pursue the game and where the money should be donated to.

Mayberry says the donations could go to the new Veterans' Home, War Memorial Stadium, the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame, Arkansas Children's Hospital, or the Little Rock Zoo.

Please calculte what it is costing to push this foolishness...deduct it from THIER paychecks and refund the money to US. There is no sense of priorities under that dome...and no sense of shame...

Seriously? Is this all they have to talk about in the House?

I am an alumni of ASU & I feel that Adam Mayberry needs to focus on more pressing business than this...I realize that sports is all about money but come on....if Arkansas can't get on board with a REAL in-state rivalry, why do it in the supposed name of "charity" ? This is ridiculous....if no one wanted to "force" the issue before and as a REAL sporting event, why discount the "rivalry" now ? This is another of the many reasons that I cannot in good conscience be a Razorback fan
