Deadly Early Morning Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 30

A man is dead after being hit by two vehicles while walking along the Interstate in Hot Spring County.

It happened around 3:00 a.m. this morning.

35-year-old Jimmy Lunsford of Sheridan was struck on Interstate 30 near the 93 Mile Marker.

According to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, Lunsford stepped into the path of one vehicle, and then was hit by a second truck.

The accident is still under investigation.
