Crews removing a pedestrian bridge in Pine Bluff will require the temporary closure of Highway 79B near the UAPB campus, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The removal of the bridge will begin at 6:00 a.m., Sunday, February 24th and conclude by 12:00 noon, weather permitting. Traffic will be detoured using Reeker Street, Spruce Street, and Oliver Road. Highway 79B will return to normal no later than 12:00 p.m. Churches in the area may want to inform their congregations and plan accordingly.

Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
