Improvements to I-530 in Pine Bluff to Require Lane Closures

By: Joel Gardner
Updated: February 15, 2013
PINE BLUFF, AR - Crews performing pavement repairs on Interstate 530 will require a lane closure starting next week, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.
The repairs will be on the outside southbound lane of Interstate 530 from exit 41 (Old Warren Road) to exit 42 (Hazel Street). The work will not interfere with the on ramp of Old Warren Road or the off ramp at Hazel Street, which is the entrance to Jefferson Memorial Hospital.
The closure will begin at 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 19 and continue for 2 to 3 weeks, weather permitting. It will last 24 hours each day. Once the outside southbound lane is complete, work will switch to the inside southbound lane.
Motorists are urged to exercise caution when approaching and traveling through highway work zones.
