Hundreds gathered on the steps of our state Capitol today to hear former U.S. Surgeon General Joycelyn Elders speak for the state's third annual rally for reproductive justice.

Organizers said they timed the event with 40th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court decision giving women the right to end a pregnancy.

Some at the rally say they want state lawmakers to know they don't want that right taken away.

Those at the rally say this is this about so much more than abortion.

Also marking the anniversary of that controversial Supreme Court case, people who are pro-life will be marching to the capitol tomorrow.
