18-Year-Old Killed, 2 Teens Injured After Pickup Hit by Train

A 18-year-old boy has died after the pickup he was in was hit by a train.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, three teens were in a pickup that was hit by a train on Highway 367 North just south of Tuckerman.

Deputies responded to the call just before 5:00 Friday afternoon.

A 14-year-old passenger was flown to Arkansas Children's Hospital in critical condition, and the 16-year-old driver was taken to Harris Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The 18-year-old was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

All three boys were students at Tuckerman High School.

Jackson County Sheriff's officials say the investigation is ongoing.

*This story has been corrected from a previous version that stated the boy was 15 years old. After previously informing us the boy was 15, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that he was 18 years old.
