There were over 10,000 graduates across the state of Arkansas in December of 2011.

A lot of smiling faces, feeling good about earning that diploma, but December can also bring a gloomy outlook to graduates in Arkansas and other cities around the country.

According to the Wall Street Journal, December grads have the hardest time finding work, because a lot of the larger companies just aren't recruiting during the winter months.

Levi Wolters, with Heritage College in Little Rock has some tips to ensure you have employment.

"Use this as a period to get six months out, jump start that job search, get out there and volunteer, use these volunteer opportunities that are available, also social networking, said Wolters."

Another suggestion, put in applications with smaller corporations or start up firms that can hire you on the spot.
