It has been two months since Star City football player Zack Towers suffered a head injury during a football game.

He has been in Arkansas Children's Hospital in a coma since shortly after collapsing on the field.

His family has been praying for a miracle, that he would be home for Christmas.

Looking back, it was a cold November night.

The Star City Bulldogs were playing at home.

Number 16, Middle Linebacker Zack Towers made a tackle and then started to stumble.

His Dad, Jim Towers was in the press box calling the game for a local radio station.

"I knew when he did that, I knew something was wrong," says Jim.

"I put my headset down and went to the field. In between plays, he collapsed on the field "

Zack was rushed to the hospital and underwent brain surgery to stop bleeding.

He has since been in a coma.

Zack's family has depended on their strong faith and asked for others to pray for Zack.

The day after he collapsed, the prayers and messages started pouring in.

"It's amazing..We've gotten prayers from all over. We've heard from people in all 50 states and 15, 16 foreign countries. Prayers from Nicaragua. "

Christmas cards have come from all over the country.

Zack's father has read every card to him.

As messages of hope fill the walls of his hospital room, having hope hasn't been easy.

The Towers family has been told three different times Zack would not make it.

"And I told him I understand what you're saying and what your experience tells you. But we pray to something much more powerful than any of us can touch here on earth and with all respect, when this is over, I'm taking him home."

That Christmas wish, to take Zack home, is coming true.

Zack will come home Christmas Day.

Although the road to recovery will be a long one, the Towers family has faith that God's got this, and Zack Towers will be healed.
