A man holding a sign thanking service men and women.

Joe Sachs told KARK he's made it out to the base at least once a week since September to show his appreciation for what they do for our country and got the idea after always seeing signs asking for something.

"I was seeing a lot of signs," Sachs said. "Politicians wanting votes, people selling something and I thought I'd be kind of cool to do something where I gave back."

It's an idea that's grown some legs too.

Sachs said he's often joined by people who drive-by and then decide to make their own signs.
