Whooping Cough Outbreak in Clinton

The Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) is looking into an outbreak of pertussis at a school in Clinton (Van Buren County).

ADH Spokesman Ed Barham says there are two confirmed cases at Clinton Intermediate School.

The highly contagious respiratory illness is better known as whooping cough.

We'll have more information as soon as further details are revealed in a news release from ADH later this afternoon.
