Updated: October 7, 2012

A fire broke out at a local hardware store in Harrison around 9:00 Saturday night.

The fire department was called out to a report of pallets on fire in the alley between Miller Hardware's main building and warehouse.

The fire chief tells KARK when crews arrived, the fire had extended into the building. The fire was so heavy, it took 26 firefighters to get it under control.

There's no word on how the fire started, but authorities say it is suspicious and being investigated.

The building was a total loss.
