2:25 p.m. - Swimmer With Arkansas Ties Advances at Olympic Games

 Olympic swimmer Gil Stovall, the son of Dana Stovall of Searcy, swims tonight in Beijing in the semifinals of the 200 meter butterfly.

His heat is shortly after 10 p.m. tonight, Arkansas time, which is Tuesday morning in Beijing.

Stovall made it into the semifinals with an eighth-best time in the preliminaries with a time of 1:55.42,
putting him squarely in the middle of the top 16 that moved into the two semifinal heats.
