 The Reverend Al Sharpton is calling singer/songwriter Isaac Hayes a trailblazer, innovator and creative genius and says he will be sorely missed.

Hayes, the first African-American to win an Oscar for a music score died at his Memphis, Tennessee home yesterday at the age of 65.

Meanwhile a public memorial service for the late comedian Bernie Mac, known for his appearances in the "Ocean's 11" films as an ex-felon blackjack dealer is set for Saturday in Chicago.

Mac, who was 50, died Saturday of complications from pneumonia.
