 The movie "The Dark Knight" continues to carry a power ful box office punch.

The film shattered another box office record by reaching the 400-million dollar domestic box office mark in 18 days.

Warner Brothers says that's less than half the time it took "Shrek 2" to reach the same milestone.

The Batman sequel has claimed the top spot in the U.S. and Canada for three weeks in a row.

It brought in almost 43-million over the weekend.

Additionally, Warner says it expects the new flick to gross another 100-million in North America which would surpass the 461-million seen in 1977 with "Star Wars."
