I Have Had Many Friends with Breast

I`ve had many friends with breast
cancer and my Step-Mom is a survivor as well. I started racing (walking) with my
best friend before she got cancer. We managed to get a group of about 30 women
each year and it was a day to share. We started our day with the race, lunch,
and afternoon walks along the river walk to remember our family and friends that
have left us. Mostly though, we celebrated the survivors! Many more women would
have suffered death from breast cancer if it were not for the Komen dedication
to preventing and curing the disease. So, all you Scimitar Shrine Ladies that
use to walk with Nancy and myself, get out there this year and remember………..all
the good times!
