It is One Thing I Can Do for My Mother - Kathy Sweeney

I race for the cure in memory of my Mother, Joyce Bullard Adkins, who passed away of breast cancer on February 24, 1991.
No one had ever been diagnosed with breast cancer in our family before, so everything we learned about breast cancer was new to us. When I first was asked to walk in the Race for the Cure, I didn’t hesitate to say yes. This is the one thing that I can do to honor my Mother as well as all the others that have lost their lives to this terrible cancer.
I look forward to seeing you at the finish line on October 20.
