I Race to Celebrate Life - L. Lee Spindler
On November 1, 2006, I`ll turn 58
years old, but I`ll also be celebrating the 10th anniversary of my breast cancer
diagnosis. . . and that will be the more important of the two
anniversaries.
I RACE because, in those ten years
of survivorship, I`ve gotten UP CLOSE and PERSONAL with a disease that impacts
the lives of too many women, men, families, friends, businesses and
communities.
I RACE to help increase the awareness of this disease
I RACE to encourage others to practice monthly Breast Self Exams, and to get Annual Clinical Breast Exams and annual Mammogram
I RACE to support the woman (or man) who is just beginning her journey with breast cancer
I RACE to celebrate all those fellow
survivors who run and walk the course with me each
year
I RACE to honor the memory of all my
dear friends who are no longer with us
I RACE to show women that there is life after the Diagnosis of BREAST CANCER ...full of joy, love and adventures
I RACE to raise money to help support the research that will one day find the cause and the cure for this disease
I RACE TO CELEBRATE
LIFE!
