I race because Cancer has touched my life and my sister`s. I did not know what the Race for the Cure was until I was diagnosed with breast cancer 5 years ago.. Little did I know that my sister would follow behind me a year later with breast cancer. I had people in my community come to me and say I am going to walk for you and they did. They loved and supported me and I am trying to give back to someone else what was given to me....There is HOPE for all of us and we must never give up the FIGHT...Early detection and research are the cure for us... I would encourage every woman to have mammograms and seek help if you have any idea that you have a problem....It will not go away.
