We Race in Honor and in Memory of My Sister Jennifer Simpson & Colleen McNutt, Sister & Mother

My mother and I are racing for the first time this year, even though my sister was first diagnosed at age 25, 3 years ago this month.  July 3, 2006 she died from complications due to breast cancer 5 days from her 28th birthday. We were very lucky to be able to spend so much time with her in the year before she died.  It was important for her to let others know what she went through at such a young age so  that other do not disregard their own feelings that something may be wrong. When Jessica went to the doctor they told her she was too young to have cancer and cancer was a silent killer so the pain she was having couldn`t possibly be from the disease. So we race in honor and memory of my sister, Jessica Dawn Higley, Deceased.
