Walking Proudly With My Celebration List - Lizzette Thomas/ Little Rock, AR
This year will mark my ninth race. Every year it seems the race gets more personal for me when I add yet another name to my Celebration list I wear proudly on my back. Seven years ago I walked to show support for my best friend who was fighting the same disease that took her Mom’s life. Last year I walked in search of the strength I knew I would need to support another dear friend who had just started the recovery journey. I may not wear the pink, but I do feel all it represents and will continue to race for the women I love dearly and for those that need me.
