To Celebrate Georgia - Carla Griswold/Conway, AR
I attended the race in celebration of my dear grandmother Georgia Griswold and a recent and dear friend of mine Wilma J. Reynolds. My grandmother has been cancer free for 1 year and we are so very thankful. We always heard about other ladies in our community being diagnosed with it but it never actually hit me until it hit my family. She has been so strong through all of this and I really admire her for that. After attending the race I then realized that there was not just one type of person or one type of race that this disease picked out or picked on. I will be attending the race every year to celebrate two very dear women, two very strong women that I admire and truly love andalso for the many women that battle this disease called breast cancer. I pray that God continues to work in their lives and blesses them with years and years free from this disease. I love you granny and I love you too pookie!!!!!!!!!!!
