Scientists Working To Develop HIV Vaccine

vaccineIt's back to basics in the search for an hiv vaccine. Two trials were stopped last fall, when scientists realized instead of helping, the drugs made patients more likely to become infected. On Tuesday, the National Institutes of Health told scientists instead of rushing to find a vaccine, focus on basic questions that remain unanswered --and, encourage young scientists to come up with new ideas. But, for that, researchers say, they need more money.
