Staying Safe

By: Tracy Douglass
Updated: February 8, 2008
Thanks to Little Rock Police Officer Michelle Hill for joining me today about staying safe in our homes.

We covered a lot of ground but I think Michelle's main point this morning was to encourage people to think outside the box.
She applauds home owners for having signs up not only indicating an alarm system is present but also that there is a dog and a gun on the property.

Michelle also talked about a service that the police department has that home owners should take advantage of.
An officer will come to your home and do a walk around to help you determine what needs to be done to make your home a safer place, they will also send you crime statistics in neighborhoods that you may consider moving into.

E mail Michelle at mhill@littlerock.org or call her at 501-371-4634
