Losing weight was likely a New Year's resolution for someone you know. Two-thirds of Americans are overweight or obese.
Now, there's a new way for them to shed pounds, thanks to an implant called V-Bloc therapy.
The pacemaker-like device uses electrodes to send signals to the brain.
Patients don't feel the same hunger and don't have the same need to eat the size portions that they did prior to the device being activated.
The device can be turned off and on with an external control by the patient, and in the end lead to the desired weight loss.
