healthIt's a huge step forward for people suffering with what's known as "Drop Foot Syndrome." Drop Foot's often caused by a stroke or other neurological condition -- and it can make walking extremely difficult. A neuro-prosthesis is an electrical stimulator designed to treat and correct the condition. This wireless sensor is put in the heel of a shoe, to communicate to the cuff around a patient's shin & stimulates the nerves in the muscles and the shin to be able to raise their foot up. This allows to get that stimulation of muscles and the nerves, while at the same time walking, doing stairs, exercises. The device can be worn long-term in daily life. Bioness makes a similar stimulation device for the arm and hand. Give them a call at 1-800-211-9136, option 2.
